Our customer is going through an exciting period of double-digit growth transforming our delivery system dramatically and is currently establishing a new Production & Supply Chain Function whose key purpose is to enhance customer satisfaction & minimize working capital ensuring that voice of customer is reflected in the value proposition to customers. In this context we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Planning Manager to establish and lead the Production & Supply Chain Planning department.

Job content:

As Planning Manager you hold a key position helping our customer winning its Must Win Battle of meeting their customer’s delivery expectations. You will report to the General Manager & COO being a vital part of the Supply Chain and Production management team.

As Planning Manager you will lead 5 employees in the factory planning department responsible for material call of, production planning, inventory levels, shipping administration, order management, customer service and master data. In order to be a success in this position you need to be able to build the right platform for achieving the following key business outcomes for the our customer:

Achieve and maintain a consistently high service level above 98% on time from suppliers and own production facilities in Denmark and Germany.
Define, agree, meet & monitor lead times agreed with customers.
Ensure that inventory turns more than 6 times a year.
Systematically evaluate customer satisfaction continuously learning from market.

Some of your tasks will be:

Forecast, Capacity & Master planning across plants & suppliers.
Lead Order Management & Customer Service.
Prevent supply disruptions ensuring that inventory strategies & settings are correct.
Manage procurement/call-off of material to support the shop floor plan and the overall inventory targets.
Implement KanBans, Supplier Plans and Supplier Managed Inventory.
Implement Lead-time & MOQ reductions.
Develop and implement process and tool enhancements for manufacturing planning and control in a supply chain environment by leading teams and driving results cross-functionally.
Implement performance management tools and operational KPI’s (supporting learning and reduction in deviations).
Secure accuracy of master data in our business systems (SAP & Navision)) and for daily supply status reporting.

Candidate profile:

The ideal candidate has a master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering or equivalent.

Preferred Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of related supply chain experience within a production environment.
Management experience preferably from a similar position.
Insight in performance management tools and operational KPI’s (i.e. BSC, ABC).
Overall knowledge of plant assembly operations.
Proficient in use of MS Word, Excel and MS Access.
Mastery of ERP systems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills (English, German & Danish).
