Senior Back Office Controller

DONG Energy’s Back Office in Customer & Markets is searching for an analytical and driven controller to complement their team. You will be based in Virum, and will be referring to the Head of Back Office Gas Trading.

The industry and DONG Energy is going through significant changes. Sourcing is globally in a constant flux, regulations are being imposed globally, and the political scene is moving, all having an impact on Back Office. Back Office handles around 150.000 trades per year, standard and complex trades, generating a gross revenue of about 200 billion DKK.

The Back Office’s role is to settle trading activity and secure cash flow in an environment, which is dynamic and driven by changes, to improve and expand services. With their services, back office aims to deliver value to current and potential new customers in DONG Energy.

Responsibilities

You will be part of a team, where you will be responsible for settling exchange activities, including revenue and gross profit accounting, developing, implementing and maintaining systems and business processes.

 You will be representing Back Office on the subject as our expert and super user, building relations to market participants, industry organizations and internal stakeholders.

 In addition to the above, the position entails the following line of tasks:

• Trade and portfolio verification
• Collateral management
• Inventory controlling
• Settlement processing
• Accounting and reporting
• Regulatory compliance

Your profile

You will have an education as a master in economics, business administration, computer science and finance or similar, experience with VBA, SQL programming, derivatives, risk management, clearing and financial market.

You will have strong personal drive combined with composure, a supportive, systematic and result oriented approach to your work enabling to deliver high-quality clearing operation.

It is an advantage if you possess developed Danish and English skills and we prefer a candidate with experience in SAP.
